A Long-Term Answer to Persistent Cosmetic Concerns

Veneers are a thin, custom-tailored shell that can be bonded into place to make a huge difference in your smile. They come in two types: porcelain and a resin-based composite.

Veneers may be beneficial for people who want a long-term solution to persistent cosmetic concerns — particularly those that do not respond to other dental treatments, such as teeth whitening, braces, or retainers.

The Procedure
From Preview to Permanent

During the veneering procedure, your dentist will typically remove a small amount of tooth enamel, temporize it in the new look for your approval, then fuse the veneer to your tooth via a bonding process.

When complete, the veneer becomes a permanent part of your tooth — more attractive and just as strong and cleanable as the original.

Benefits

  • Very strong and long-lasting with proper care
  • Natural-looking surface and feel
  • Less tooth enamel removal than with a crown
  • Does not easily stain

What to Expect

1

Personalized Consultation

Every visit begins with a conversation. Your doctor examines your smile, discusses porcelain vs. composite, and answers every question first.

2

Preview Your New Look

A small amount of enamel is prepared and your new look is temporized for your approval — you see it before it’s permanent.

3

Bonded for Good

The veneer is fused to your tooth via a bonding process — a permanent part of your smile, as strong and cleanable as the original.
