The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving your teeth freely exposed and ready for treatment. Your dentist or dental assistant will then apply the Zoom! whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom! chairside light to penetrate your teeth and break up any stains and discoloration that have tarnished your smile. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated. Total treatment time is usually under one hour.
Need a basic, semi-annual hygienic cleaning and want to maintain or further enhance your bright new smile? We also offer a take-home whitening system that can help brighten your smile at your own pace, on your own time.
One of our skilled technicians will create a custom mouthpiece that fits your upper and lower teeth. You then place the whitening gel we provide into the customized trays and wear them for the prescribed time — typically 15 minutes to an hour. This treatment has been proven to offer great maintainable results for patients’ long-term health and appearance.
